FYI – labs means go to outpatient lab to do blood work; Dr. Smatanova is the GP oncologist who calls me between the three-month appointments with my medical oncologist; the Pharmacy appointment is so that patients doesn’t show up all at once during this pandemic.

Figured what’s wrong yet? Of course you have, you’re all observant.

Someone sent me my appointment card without giving me any times AND has a potential overlap with the GP oncologist appointment. My GP oncologist won’t confirm my next course of palbociclib without knowing my blood work results. So, if the time for the appointment on the 18th is later in the day, I will have time to visit the vampires before the oncologist appointment. However, if the time is early in the day, then I must visit the vampires on the 17th. One phone call and a five hour wait for a return call later, I find out that my oncologist appointment is at 9 a.m. Nope. Not nearly enough time to go in and surrender my blood. Oh. And the pharmacy appointment is for 2:45 p.m.

BTW, I will say the assistant who called me back was a little embarrassed that this was sent out without times and without due consideration of the overlap. Welp, I guess these things happen.

A quick “How I’m doing”: this and last week the side effects were fluffing fatigue, some nausea (less than last month) but more bone aches. At one point, I swear I could identify each and every vertebrae in my spine they all hurt so much. I seem to have luck in that side effects are generally limited to a two-week window. I hope that lasts.

Live. Laugh. Thrive.
