Coming to this conference has been so much more emotional for me than I thought it would be. I have met so many amazing, courageous women. It is surely one of the best things I have ever done for myself, and I’m glad I came.

The filming is going well. We’re getting lots of “gold” moments, as Scott likes to call them.

And the marketplace is a fun place to visit. I have purchased THREE LympheDiva compression sleeves:  Midnight Lace, MySoni and Black – too much fun! I’m styling!  And KT, take note, Been a Boob is here!! Neat product. But I’m just not ready yet for any decision that way.

My best lecture to-date is Breast Cancer and Sexuality. The best workshop to-date is Transformative Writing.

I’m still on Victoria time. The conference starts at 7:30 a.m. (for breakfast) and my body’s time clock reads it as 5:30 a.m. ~ this is finally taking its toll.

This evening is the Field of Women walk (adapted from the Australian version) to the Manitoba legislature. It’s a walk in support of all women with breast cancer.

And speaking of support, there’s been a Resolution that passed unanimously in the Manitoba legislature:
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba urge the provincial government to consider continuing to support breast cancer research, screening and treatment for the benefit of all Manitobans; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba welcome the 2008 World Breast Cancer Conference and commend the important advocacy work of the Foundation.

And there was a message of greetings from Her Excellency, the Governor-General of Canada, Michaelle Jean.
