Have I ever mentioned the funny things I’ve learned along the way.
- When getting into bed, I used to crawl in (literally) hands and knees and flop on my left side. I haven’t been able to do that since April 30th.
- I washed my hair in the shower with my head tilted backwards and my hands running through it. I can’t even lift my left arm that high…yet.
- I remove a sweater (button up/zipper up) first by putting my left arm behind my back and pulling on the sleeve. Ya right, I can’t get my left arm behind my back at all…yet.
And when I do these things now, I get wonderful, severe stabbing pains in my shoulder that radiate down my arm and tingle for a good while afterwards.
My latest discovery is about repetitive or motionless movement (depends on whether we’re looking at the arm or the fingers). When holding my arms for perfect typing position (Mrs. McGuire would be so proud of me) and typing for HOURS on end, as I was today, my left arm ACHES like hell and I get a shoulder kink, which then led to a f**king awful headache.
Just when I think I’ve discovered just about all there is, I learn more. I guess that’s life.
