i caved

You know, I can be a stubborn idiot some times to my own detriment (no comments from the peanut gallery). Insomnia has been taking its toll on me. Between mental health, stress and lack of sleep, I’m turning into a right mess.

I have tried—

  • melatonin
  • CBD
  • warm milk
  • chamomile tea
  • lemon balm tea
  • keeping to a schedule for getting up and going to bed
  • limiting caffeine (nothing past noon)
  • no meals or snacks after 7 p.m.
  • meditation
  • leaving my cell in the living room

I have thrown in the towel. Though I’m not a fan of side effects that medications can have, I have a limit, apparently.

I now have a prescription sleep aid. I had to laugh. I’m advised that I am legally impaired when I take it. So…careful as I walk!!
