memory

I’ll go on one of my rants about Facebook another time. Right now I want to talk about “Notes” on Facebook. I found and then copied the same idea on Facebook for a posting in “Notes”.

Leave one memory that you and I had together.
It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
Don’t send a message, leave a comment on here.
Next, re-post this in your notes and see how many people leave a memory about you.
It’s actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses.

All the comments make me smile. But there’s one that actually made me howl. KO posted the following:

I can go further back than that! I remember you crying your eyes out in the back seat of Dave’s parent’s Volvo when a Phil Collins song came on the radio (Against all Odds) about some guy named Eric (I think). How far have we come since then? I am still driving a Volvo and you are on the other side of the country further away from that heartbroken teenager than any of us could ever imagine.

Distance is a great teacher and teenager angst, oh my! But what prompted the laughter wasn’t so much that I’m beyond that phase, it was the thought “My mom was right. I did get over it.”

Thanks KO for that most embarrassing story. And I mean that sincerely.

  1. That’s my sister…always sending you a zinger when you least expect it!
And as always, sisters (natural or not) can always find a way to make you laugh at your weakest moments!
    Way to go KO
