Last week I underwent a minor surgery to finally remove my flaps of skin (wings as I called them) under my arms. Left-over me from my mastectomy surgery in 2007.
It is a procedure considered cosmetic surgery and done by a plastic surgeon. Though “cosmetic”, as a cancer thriver I qualified for coverage by our health system as it was related to my treatment and surgery for cancer.
To keep it simple. I have two lovely scars under each arm, but even with the swelling I see a big difference.
Once all heals, I look forward to being comfortable again.
So very happy I did this.
