Oh boy. I understand shingles a bit more than before and still a lot less than those who have them.
Vince has shingles. I noted the rash on Sunday morning and by that afternoon it was in full “uh oh”. The way Vince described it, the look of it and the anecdotes of others, I thought it was shingles.
We got confirmation from our GP. And because we caught it within 72 hours of the rash appearing, there’s a good chance the anti-viral prescribed will aid in reduction of pain and reduce the severity of the shingles. That 72-hour mark is key.
It looks hideous. It looks like it should hurt more than it does.
Right now, Vince is my hero.
