We have an answer! I’m HER2 negative (apparently I was barely positive in 2006). We now have a path forward. I’m still hormone positive. Which means no chemo but yes to aromatase inhibitors*, which are only used in those of us that are post-menopausal (who knew?!). And LOTS of tests/monitoring for the rest of my life.
What this means to me: EVERYTHING! It means I don’t need a port-a-cath!!!
* Note: hormone therapy still exists for those with hormone positive cancer. “Aromatase inhibitors” is a class of drugs specific for post-menopausal women.
Live. Laugh. Thrive ❣
No port-a-cath that is good !
Thats good news! And the path to be taken is a bit clearer!
Some good news then!
Yay!!!! So happy for you. 😊
