So back to the question I posted in positive things – What are some positive things you can say about yourself?
Not easy to do, is it? Well, it certainly wasn’t for me. Off the top of my head, I came up with—
- I have a good sense of humour.
- I have a contagious laugh.
- I can laugh at myself.
- I am a tech geek.
- I am book smart.
- I walk to the beat of a different drummer.
- I know me.
But after a day or two of contemplation, I came up with these—
- I am great at my job.
- It is utterly impossible for me to be fake.
- I am open to continued learning.
- I am fair.
- I am a good person.
- I am stronger than I thought.
Somehow, that all just didn’t seem to be enough. Surely there is more that one can say positively about himself/herself? So I went looking for ideas. Here are a few more I came up with – I’m not saying they apply to me, in fact some of them absolutely do NOT, but you might find something in this list:
- I am a great cook.
- I am a really good friend.
- I am awesome.
- I am creative.
- I am forgiving.
- I am giving.
- I am honest with myself.
- I am kind.
- I am lovable.
- I am loyal.
- I am nonjudgmental.
- I am open-minded.
- I am optimistic.
- I am organized.
- I am outgoing.
- I am proud of myself.
- I am worthy.
- I can [draw/sing/dance – fill in the blank] well.
- I finish what I start.
- I give to homeless people on the street.
- I have good imagination.
- I have pretty eyes.
- I have rhythm.
- I see good in people.
